Hey, my Model X has about 37k miles and it’s acting up. The battery won’t charge no matter what I do. I got it new back in late 2017, and this is the first time it’s had this issue. The app says the battery's under warranty until 2025, but then it also says the warranty’s expired. I'm totally lost. Tried to hit up Tesla, but no response. Any clue about this warranty stuff?

Don't be confused. While your bumper-to-bumper warranty has expired, that just means general wear-and-tear items aren't covered anymore. The good news is that your battery and drivetrain warranty are still in effect.

It’s odd that the app can't keep its story straight, you should reach out to Tesla for clarification on the warranty.

My bumper-to-bumper warranty expired too, but my battery and drive unit warranties are still good. So, it sounds like your battery should still be covered, but if the app is saying otherwise, that’s definitely confusing. If you’re not getting a response from Tesla, it might be best to double-check the warranty details and see if there’s a way to escalate the issue.
