Just had a brake disaster with my Model X at just 32k miles! Can you believe the front pads were down to a pathetic 3mm? Clearly, the previous owner never bothered to get them checked. So frustrating! Ended up dropping almost $2k for a brake job that should’ve been unnecessary at this mileage. What a rip-off and a huge inconvenience!

Did you get a chance to check if the brake pads were even the right ones for your Model X? It’s crazy how some previous owners can overlook maintenance like that.

It sounds like the previous owner really dropped the ball on maintenance. The maintenance requirements for all cars are usually designed to cover worst-case scenarios, but if you wash your car regularly, you can help prevent issues like corrosion on the brake calipers or pads. It’s frustrating to have to spend so much on brakes at just 32k miles! Just crazy

Ouch, that’s rough! 32k seems way too soon for brakes to wear out unless they were really neglected. Makes me wonder if the regen braking wasn’t being used enough. It should’ve saved the pads a bit more. Hope the new set lasts much longer for you!

That should be a lesson for you. If you're buying used cars, you should see to it to check all the important parts if they're still in great condition.
