Model X Touchscreen Melting?!

My 2018 Model X touchscreen is melting! A gross, gooey mess is leaking out since earlier this year. Tesla blames the heat, but it started in the winter! They want a fortune to fix it. Anyone else had this happen? Is it just me or is this a common problem? This is driving me nuts!

Afaik, this is a common issue with other Teslas. This needs to be replaced. While you're at it, I'd recommend upgrading to MCU2.

Like @martys said, the melting touchscreen is a common issue with the S/X models, but it’s not actually caused by heat. A lot of people have dealt with this, and it’s definitely worth pushing back on Tesla about the fix.

Sadly, melting touchscreens have been a common issue with some Model X cars. It's annoying that Tesla wants so much to fix it, arrgh
