I'm at my wits end with my Model X tires! I've replaced the rears twice in two years and now the inner linings are shot. First it was Michelin tires from Costco, then I replaced all four, but the problem persists. Tesla says everything's fine, but the tires keep wearing out prematurely. I'm spending a fortune on new tires and alignments. What could be causing this rapid tire wear? Is it the car, the tires, or something else?

It could be your suspension. Actually, you'll know if your suspension components have an issue when you get an alignment. If there are suspension issues, the alignment won't be successful.

After replacing the front tires of my Model X due to uneven wear, the service center found a bad front-end component that was causing problems for me. I don't fully trust Tesla, if they say everything is fine, you should get a second opinion. It could save you a lot of money in the long run.

On my 2021 Model X, my tires only lasted 30K miles, with terrible wear on the outer edge of the front tires while the back ones just wore down. A few months after replacing them with OEM tires, I heard a rattle over bumps. The service center found a bad front-end component, replaced it, and did a front-end alignment. I suspect that caused the early wear on the front tires. I'm now at about 20K miles on the new ones and hoping to get over 30K miles!

Looks pretty much like the alignment issue really took a toll on your tires, I hope with the new alignment, you'll get a much better lifespan out of your next set.

Yeah, I’m really hoping the new alignment helps extend the lifespan this time. So far, the new set is wearing evenly, so fingers crossed they last much longer than the first ones!
