Has anyone else been dealing with annoying shudder from the front drive unit when you hit the gas hard? Well, I've been battling this for a year now and Tesla finally has a permanent fix!

They issued a TSB, but it took forever to get scheduled. I'm getting mine fixed next week, so fingers crossed this is the end of it.

I've never heard of the issue on refresh models so far.

I’m also not sticking with the X after the warranty runs out - honestly, I rarely keep a car past its warranty period anyway.

I’ve been dealing with that annoying shudder from the front drive unit for about a year now. It felt like my car was trying to dance every time I hit the gas hard! Tesla later issued a TSB for a permanent fix, but it took ages to get an appointment scheduled. I’m getting mine fixed next month, so I’m really hoping this is the end of the shuddering saga!

Thanks! It turned out to be an issue with the front drive unit mounts. They replaced them as part of the TSB, and the shudder was gone immediately after the fix. It took a while to get the parts in, but it’s been smooth ever since..
