Hi everyone,
I recently rotated the tires on my 2018 Model X. But I didn't know the wheels weren't interchangeable front to back and after a short drive, I heard a screech, and the rear wheel had rubbed against the steering knuckle when installed on the front. The damage is minor. I had to put the wheels back as they were before after I talked with the service department. After this, should I be worried about something more? Thanks for your help!

Good catch getting the tires back in their original positions! The staggered setup on the Model X makes rotations a bit tricky. While minor rubbing probably didn’t cause major damage, it’s a good idea to inspect for any signs of wear or stress on the tires, wheels, and suspension parts. If the steering knuckle has any noticeable marks, it’s worth having the alignment and suspension checked just to be safe. These things happen, and now you’ve got one more piece of Model X knowledge in your toolbox!

Since the damage is minor, it should be fine, but I’d recommend having the alignment and suspension checked to ensure no further issues arise.
