I rotated the tires on my sister’s Model X, and now the front tire’s rubbing on the steering knuckle. It’s scratched the wheel a bit and left a mark on the knuckle. Is this what happens with staggered tires? Anyone else had this? Should I just switch it all back?

Ouch, I’ve been there. I once rotated my buddy’s staggered tires and ended up with a similar rubbing issue. Switching back might be the easiest fix, but check the alignment too, those knuckles are tough, but they don’t like being scratched.

It looks like you might have rotated the tires incorrectly. With staggered setups, you can only swap them side to side, not front to back. That rubbing on the steering knuckle isn’t typical and could cause more damage if left as is. It’s probably best to switch them back to their original positions to avoid further issues.

Yes it is definitely best to switch them back, and also, after rotating the tires, you should get the wheels balanced to avoid any high-speed vibrations, since an out-of-balance wheel can cause problems too.
