My MX have always had fully automatic wipers. They even kick in automatically with washer fluid when in Full Self-Driving mode, to keep the front camera nice and clean.
The wipers on the Model 3 were a real headache when it first came out. Took them a while, maybe a couple of years, to get them working reliably in Auto mode. Lately, though, they've been pretty spot-on.
Not sure about this 'Beta button' thing – maybe that's something specific to the Model X? But the wipers on the 3 have been doing a good job recently.
Yeah, the wipers aren't the best, that's for sure. It's kind of a quirky thing about Tesla's, I guess. Hopefully, future software updates will improve them.
But honestly, all the other great things about the car outweigh that one minor issue for me. It's just something I've learned to live with.
