Frustrating door command issue after software update

I just did a software update, and my garage opener's pop-down menu has been acting funny, it disappears when I back out, and I have to restart the car before I can close the door.

Does anyone have any fix, cause I have tried resyncing it? Do I really have to use a transmitter installed on my visor again?

Try tapping the main menu (car icon in the bottom left), and check if the garage door option appears at the top. If it keeps disappearing, resetting the system or reinstalling the update might help. Using a transmitter should be a fallback, but let’s see if it resolves with a reset or further sync.
