I grabbed an old Model X and I'm thinking of getting a new battery for it. Do I need to mess with any programming, or will it work just by swapping out the battery? Any thoughts?

Swapping the battery in an older Model X usually doesn't require any programming, you just have to make sure everything is connected properly. However, it's a good idea to check with Tesla or a qualified technician for any specific steps you might need to follow.

You are damn right, swapping the battery in an older Model X typically doesn’t need programming, just proper connections. Checking with Tesla or a qualified technician is always the best move to ensure you cover all the bases

Battery technology is always evolving, so prices and options will likely change in the future. Hopefully, we can take advantage of the new lithium mines discovered in the US. Plus, with so many EVs hitting the market, we should see advancements in battery technology overall.

Honestly, replacing the battery is like getting a whole new car! Don't stress too much about it.

The Model X is an amazing car. I recently got the Model X Performance, and it's been incredible. It's smooth, fast, and handles like a beast, even with two toddlers in tow every day!
