Still waiting on my Rear-Ended 2022 Model X

Ugh, that sounds frustrating! Dealing with those kinds of delays is the worst, especially with a brand new car. I know Tesla has been working on improving their repair process, but supply chain issues are still a problem. Keep in touch with the shop and reach out to Tesla support for updates...

Where to Get a Dashcam USB Drive?

Sorry to hear about the parking lot issues! For your dashcam, consider a Samsung T7 Portable SSD, SanDisk Extreme PRO, or a Lexar JumpDrive Tough. They're built for continuous writing. Get a drive with enough storage (64GB-256GB should be plenty). If your dashcam supports microSD cards, those...

Best Suspension Setting After Alignment for Model X

We’re in the same boat! Glad you’re staying on top of the alignment issue. Suspension height can affect alignment, especially in Low mode. It’s fine to switch to Medium afterward, just try to avoid frequent height changes. Consistent settings will help balance comfort and tire wear.

Brake Caliper Covers for Model X

Painting calipers gives you more control over the look. Use heat-resistant paint like G2 or VHT. Painting can last longer, but powder-coated aluminum covers are easier to maintain.

    12v Location in 2016 X75d with Captain's Chairs

Running that amp wire to the frunk sounds like a pain. There should be other 12V options in the back. Check for outlets near the rear seats or in the trunk. You might also find an empty fuse slot in the rear fuse box. There are also power distribution blocks for cleaner installations. Good luck!

    Continental Contact LX Sports Replacement

Bummer about the tire wear! Lifespan varies, but some get 25k, others 40k. Consider Michelin Primacy MXM4, Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack, or Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus. They tend to last longer. Many people like them! I like them!

WeatherTech problem with my 2020 Model X

That's frustrating! WeatherTechs are pricey, so it sucks when they don't fit. Have you looked at Husky Liners or TuxMat? I agree as mentioned above they're both great brands. Husky Liners fit really well, especially on the driver's side. TuxMat is known for a perfect fit in Teslas.

    Recommended AUX input

I’d recommend going with a Bluetooth transmitter. Just make sure it's compatible with your car’s audio system. The TaoTronics TT-BR05 or Anker Soundsync are solid options and typically work well with the AUX input.

    Tire & Comfort Suspension Options

If you're finding the Continentals noisy, consider tires like the Michelin Pilot Sport EV or Pirelli P-Zero Electric. They're designed for a quieter ride. Upgrading the suspension could help, but it might be more involved and costly. Try new tires first. You might be surprised by the difference!

How's the Model X Hold Up with High Miles?

I’m also thinking about joining one! I’m sure I’ll hear a mix of opinions from longterm owners. Reliability can vary, but a lot of people love the Model X for its performance and tech. That said, there have been some issues with things like the Falcon doors and electrical stuff. The good news is...

    Understanding alignment for everyday drivers

Great insight! Alignment isn’t just about the numbers, it’s about how you drive. Sharing your driving habits with your mechanic can really help fine-tune things and save you money on tires.

Thoughts on My Tesla Model X After Six Months

Hey, thanks for sharing your thoughts! It sounds like you're enjoying the performnce and features, but those quirks are definitely frustrating. I can relate to a lot of what you mentioned. MCU2 Swap from Model S to Model X

Hey! I haven’t heard of many people swapping an MCU2 from a Model S into a Model X, but it’s definitely an interesting idea. The hardware might fit, but as you mentioned, there will probably be some software and coding tweaks needed to get the MCU2 working in the Model X. I’d recommend reaching...

Where can I fit the Model X spare tire?

The 155/80R19 tire is about 29.1 inches in diameter and 6.1 inches wide. It might fit, but I couldn't find any solid info on whether it does. Best bet is to measure the space behind the shelf to make sure it fits.
