Tire & Comfort Suspension Options

Looking ahead to replacing the tires on my 2022 Model X. The current Continentals are getting noisy. Any suggestions for quieter options? Has anyone swapped the standard suspension for the newer "comfort" setup?

Try lowering the tire pressure first, maybe that's the cause. I'm using Michelin Pilot Sports on mine, they're really great and comfortable.

I get where you’re coming from! With Tesla mounting so many tires each week, it’s surprising you’re still dealing with noise from your Continentals. Anyway, dor quieter options, Michelin or Pirelli could be great choices. As for the suspension, I’ve been wondering if switching to the “comfort” setup is worth it too.

noisy tires can get annoying fast! I swapped my Continentals for the Michelin CrossClimate2s on my Model X, and the difference in noise and overall ride comfort was noticeable immediately. Regarding the suspension, I’ve heard the “comfort” setup isn’t available as a retrofit, but some owners have had success tweaking the air suspension settings for a softer ride. Give it a try before considering anything drastic! As for the suspension, Tesla’s newer “comfort” setup isn’t something that can easily be swapped into an older Model X due to differences in hardware and software.

My buddy just got a Model X LR after driving a Model 3 for a while, and he's blown away by the difference in the suspension.

He never really thought much about the 3's suspension until he drove the X. Now he realizes how much smoother and more comfortable the X rides. It's a big upgrade!

The Model X suspension is a game-changer for comfort, especially compared to the 3. I noticed the same upgrade when I switched

If you're finding the Continentals noisy, consider tires like the Michelin Pilot Sport EV or Pirelli P-Zero Electric. They're designed for a quieter ride. Upgrading the suspension could help, but it might be more involved and costly. Try new tires first. You might be surprised by the difference!
