Just had a pretty scary moment with my Model X's rear door. My grandpa was getting out, and of course, he accidentally hit the close button. The door slammed shut with a ton of force. I was quick enough to stop it, but it got me thinking - this could be a real safety issue.

Anyone else had something similar happen or have any tips to avoid this kind of accident?

Just a heads up to everyone - definitely be extra careful with the rear doors, it’s something worth paying attention to!

Yeah, I’ll definitely send Tesla a message about this. Feels like something they could fix with an update. I’ll also check the settings to see if there’s a manual mode. If I find anything useful, I’ll share it here! 😊

Yikes, that sounds terrifying! Definitely something Tesla should look into for better safety sensors or a slower close speed. Appreciate the heads-up. Definitely a solid reminder to stay sharp out there!
