Tesla lied about the Model X. It can't tow as much as they say, it doesn't have a good Autopilot, and the doors are hard to open.

I plan to contact major news outlets to share my experience and raise awareness about these issues.

Yep, totally get your frustration with the tongue weight, it’s definitely a pain. But when it comes to Autopilot, FSD, etc. , those features are pretty much the same across all the cars, especially the ones without ultrasonic sensors. Lastly, I'm a bit surprised you didn’t check the doors before pulling the trigger on the purchase, it’s one of those things that's super easy to test and could've saved you some headaches down the road!

I'm honestly quite disappointed with the 2023 Model X towing capacity. The advertised 5,000 lbs seems wildly optimistic. 5K my ass! With a tongue weight limit of only 175 lbs, realistically, you're looking at a towing capacity closer to 2K lbs. It's a major letdown for those who need a capable tow vehicle. Seems like Tesla overpromised and underdelivered on this one.

Hey, I totally understand your frustration. My partner also has a 2020 Model Y, and luckily mine is still under warranty. She had the same issue where no cars would show up on the display, but thankfully it resolved itself eventually.

Have you considered buying an extended warranty? That might cover the cost of repairs if it happens again.

If I were you, I'd think twice about buying a car with a history of problems. I'm not sure how the lemon laws work in your state, but you might end up stuck with it if there's no warranty after you buy it. I'd definitely do my research and maybe even get a second opinion before making a decision.
