Model X Wiper Speed Adjustment Tips

Hi everyone, I just got my Model X recently, and I’ve noticed that the Auto wiper speed seems to operate way faster than necessary. Even with light rain, it’s wiping more frequently than I’d prefer.

When I manually set it to 1 or 2, it’s better for the moment, but if the rain stops, I have to remember to turn it off completely for the next drive. It’s a bit inconvenient, and I’m wondering if there’s any way to adjust the sensitivity or fix this.

Has anyone else experienced this with the auto wipers? Any advice on tweaking the settings or getting them to feel more “in tune” with the weather conditions?

I don't know if you can do anything about it. It is just the way the Auto wiper operates.

The auto wipers are quite efficient. When I need a quick wipe, I usually start them with one swipe. I've found that they wipe faster at first, likely to clear the camera. It isn't a big deal for me.

I've been using voice commands to control the wipers – you know, saying stuff like "set wiper to level one," "level two," that kind of thing. It's not perfect, but at least I can keep my eyes on the road. But seriously, wouldn't it be way cooler if cars were just... smarter about it? Like, if it's pouring rain and the auto wipers are dragging, and I keep hitting the button to speed them up, the car should just get it and crank them up automatically, right? Or even better, a little setting to control how sensitive the auto wipers are would be amazing!
